CLI commands and keyboard controls
Find the commands for login, session context, composing requests, and leaving the CLI.
Last verified 2026-10-18Local commands
Enter these at the Elyxis > prompt. They control the CLI and its session; resource requests such as listing Settings are written as natural-language messages to the Assistant.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/help | Show the available local commands. |
/version | Show the CLI version. |
/login | Start browser sign-in if no credentials are saved. |
/login --no-browser | Print the sign-in URL for you to open manually. |
/login --force | Sign in again, replacing credentials and starting a fresh session on success. |
/whoami | Show the current login. |
/logout | Remove saved local credentials and reset the Assistant session. |
/context | Show selected resources, including the Environment. |
/context --json | Show safe selected-resource metadata as JSON. |
/history | Show conversation context retained for the current session. |
/new | Start a new Assistant session and repeat Environment selection. |
/clear | Clear conversation memory in the current session. |
/paste | Start manual multiline paste mode. |
/send | Submit the request you are composing. |
/cancel | Discard an unsent request. |
/exit | Close the CLI. /quit and /q also work. |
/clear does not delete remote resources or sign you out. /exit leaves saved credentials in place; use /logout when you want to remove them.
Compose a request
Type your request and press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter for a line break in a terminal that supports it. Tab completes local commands and options.
If pasted lines are submitted separately by your terminal, start /paste, paste the text, then enter /send on its own line. /cancel discards the unsent content.
Ctrl+C cancels composition or requests cancellation during Assistant work. At an empty prompt, Ctrl+D exits; with a request being composed, it submits that request.
Questions have their own controls
Follow the options shown by the current question. /store selects an existing secret reference inside a supported Setting value prompt; it is not a general command for creating a Keystore. Update prompts may offer /skip, /clear, or /value with meanings specific to that question.
For a confirmation, y or yes approves the displayed action. Enter or n rejects it. See questions and confirmations.
Recording and replay
The CLI also provides /record, /dump-run, and /run for recording and replaying workflows. Start with /help and the command's --help output before using them. Replay can execute real actions; review a run file before running it against an Environment.
